According to Sovietsky Sport, the Canadiens have told Kovalev he will be awarded the captaincy if he signs a one-year deal worth between $6 million and $7.5 million.
The above has been forwarded to me so much and irked me so much that I had to post something about it.
- Do you think Kovalev has played well enough to earn that money?
- Do you think a player who shows up to 1 out of every 2 or 3 games should be a captain?
- Do you think that a newspaper more than 7000 kms away from Montreal would hear about this before the Montreal media who know what the team is going to do before they do it?
- Should this be passed on as "news"?
